Fraunhofer UMSICHT develops and optimizes processes in the fields of environmental-, process-, material- and energy technology with the aim to promote environmentally-friendly technologies and innovative approaches. Within the framework of the study "PC vs. Thin Client" the Competence Center Application Service Providing of the Fraunhofer Society based at Fraunhofer UMSICHT in Oberhausen has examined the influence of the operating models "Managed PC" and "Thin Client/Server Based Computing" on the IT cost structure.
